Stem separation is slow

On a machine without a usable NVIDIA GPU, separation runs on the CPU, which is much slower. Each track only needs separating once — the result is cached and reused. The quick approximate stems are available immediately while the neural ones compute.

A stem button or marker doesn't seem to remove a part

Until the neural stems finish (the header shows neural stems (100%)), you are working with fast approximate stems that leak between parts. Wait for the refined stems, then try again. Heavily layered passages may still leave some of a part behind.

A blend sounds off the beat at the start

Open the boundary and use the entry nudge (−10 / −1 / +1 / +10 ms) to line B's kick up with A's. If the whole track's grid is slightly out, use the beat grid slip in the bottom pane. Blends that start in a section with no steady kick are aligned on the grid instead.

The drop lands on the wrong beat of the bar

Use the bar line arrows (◂ ▸) in the track pane to move the bar line by a beat so phrases line up.

A track changes tempo or drifts

Mixdis assumes each track holds a steady tempo through a blend. Tracks that change tempo mid-song have a low-confidence grid and are better mixed using their steadier sections.

What's the difference between Drift and Locked?

Drift lets each track play at its own tempo and ramps smoothly between them across each blend. Locked holds the whole set at the first track's tempo, time-stretching every other track. Pitch is preserved in both.

How do I undo something?

Ctrl Z (or ⌘ Z on a Mac) undoes edits, marker moves and fades; the arrows in the toolbar do the same.

The export doesn't match what I heard

Export renders through the same engine as playback. Make sure analysis has finished refining stems before exporting, and check the output format and bit depth in the export menu.

Does it run on an Intel Mac?

Not at present — macOS builds target Apple silicon.

Nothing matches that search.

Still stuck?

Mixdis is in active development — there's no public support channel yet.
